The European professional Valorant scene not only trails the Pacific and Americas regions in audience reach but is also showing a worrying downward trend. The average viewership of VCT 2026: EMEA Stage 2 fell by 26% compared with Stage 1.
VCT 2026: EMEA Stage 2 viewership statistics
VCT 2026: EMEA Stage 2 matches generated just over 13 million Hours Watched, approximately 1.7% more than EMEA Stage 1 earlier this year. However, the other metrics showed a different trend: Average Viewers fell by 26%, while Peak Viewers declined by 14.1%.
The most popular match of VCT 2026: EMEA Stage 2 was the grand final between Team Liquid and Karmine Corp, which peaked at 235.3K viewers. The gap between the final and the second-most-popular match was substantial, at more than 65K viewers.
Interestingly, no other match featuring Team Liquid or Karmine Corp made it into the season’s top five. This suggests that the final series saw only a temporary boost in viewer interest due to its status as the tournament decider.
Why are the numbers so inconsistent? One of Valorant’s main problems is the highly fragmented involvement of community casters. Most top streamers cover only the matches of specific teams while completely ignoring the rest of the competition.
For example, Kamel “kamet0” Kebir was the most popular community caster at VCT 2026: EMEA Stage 2, yet his broadcasts covered less than 10% of the tournament’s total airtime — just 15 of 166 hours. The same applies to Lucas “Squeezie” Hauchard, Ferit “WtcN” Karakaya, Toma “JLtomy” Abdellaoui, Pujan “GOFNS” Mehta, and other streamers.
Once the team they support is eliminated, they stop covering the league and take their audiences with them. As a result, the tournament’s final viewership figures depend heavily on which teams reach the final.
Most popular VCT 2026 Stage 2 tournaments by Peak Viewers
VCT 2026: EMEA Stage 2 has already fallen behind Pacific Stage 2 and Americas Stage 2 in Peak Viewers. The full extent of the gap will become clearer later, as the final matches in the Pacific and Americas leagues are still to come.
VCT 2026: EMEA Stage 2 failed to enter the top 10 most-popular European events in VCT history and also missed the top 10 Valorant tournaments of 2026 by Peak Viewers. EMEA remains Valorant’s third-most-popular regional league, consistently trailing Pacific and Americas, with the gap gradually widening.
In terms of audience reach, EMEA ranks ahead of only the Chinese league, but this applies solely to data from international streaming platforms. The comparison is not entirely representative, as most of the Chinese league’s audience comes from domestic platforms such as Douyu and Huya, where exact viewership figures cannot be determined. You can read more about why this is the case here.
